David Berrey
Dave Berrey is a senior audit partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP, with over 34 years of experience serving many of the firms’ largest clients in the financial services industry. From 2012 to 2016, Dave was the partner-in-charge of the Tri-State financial services audit practice. Dave has served on Deloitte’s Nominating Committee and the Global Assurance Quality Committee. He has been the co-chair of the organization’s Partner Admissions National Review Committee. Dave is the vice chair of the Board of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Dave has broad-based banking and finance company exposure, having worked with investment companies, full-service firms, retail banks, investment banks, clearing firms, securitized asset vehicles, servicers, and international banks. His experience includes consumer banking, commercial banking, credit cards, investment banking, investment management, and wealth management.
Dave has extensive experience with SEC reporting and led the largest banking IPO in United States history and the 6th largest IPO for Coinbase. He has assisted clients with securitization transactions, IPOs, secondary offerings, debt placements, and regulatory matters. Dave has served in a variety of advisory roles, including analyzing technical and regulatory issues; assisting banks and finance companies regarding compliance with SEC, FDIC, OCC, and Federal Reserve regulations; evaluating internal controls for complex financial institutions; providing credit risk review support; and consulting on litigation disputes involving large banks.
